What would you recomend for a base linear for 10 meters w/ SSB capabilites? Say something around 500 watts. Please post links!

I bet you could! although I am not looking to spend that much. I was looking at something around 500 watts. Wish I could find a good deal on a working Maco 300.

I think that you can keep your Star site. I can get everything that they sell alot cheaper. I'm not trying to go broke buying radio equipment. Just look at the 8 ga wire. Either the Black or the Red $1.00 a foot. I can go to RF Connection and buy 8 ga zip cord which just means the Red & Black cord together. At a cost of $1.25 a foot. Since I need a red & black cord it saves me 75 cent a foot. And lets say I needed 20 foot that's $15.00 I saved. This way I shipping becomes free. And where I live it costed me $7.00 shipping. So I still had an extra $8.00 in my pocket. Is their Wire and connectors any good. Yes most of the Hams shop there for our connectors & wire. If you are like me I want the money in my pocket. Not put it in theirs. Also the other items are way over priced. I can save $30 or more on radios. I would only post a site that saves you money. Because I'm not rich. And if I were I wouldn't be for long if I'd keep buying over priced items.
