I have for sale my Yaesu MD-200 (MD-200A8X) This is a wonderful Microphone with some of the best full bodied audio you can find. The only reason that I am selling this great microphone is that I don't use it. You are guaranteed to get some of the best audio reports you have ever heard. The microphone has a spot in it to add a Heil element and solder pads to connect it. Optional element is selectable under the mic.
This Microphone matches the latest Yaesu radios FT-817, FT-857, FT-897, FT1000mp MKV, FT-900, FT-2000, and FTDX-9000 series radios. There are probably a few models i missed but if it falls within the era of the ones listed it will work.

I have heard these microphones wired to Icom radios and the sound really good as well.

This microphone has an adjustment under the grill, it is a cover that is over the element. When the cover is turned it lets more or less air in around the element and thats how you adjust it to match your voice. A lot of people don't know this and don't get very good reports when the go on the air so if it doesn't get you good reports at first have someone listen to ya and get it set right. I have the mic. set a little to the high tone side right now and I was running it through an 8 band ex. I have had people tell me that the mic. sound so close to my PR-40 that they couldn't tell witch one I was on..
Here are some reviews.

The price for the Microphone is $200.00 and 20.00 shipping and insurance. If the actuial cost of the S&I is less I will send a refund for the difference..

The mic has a couple of small nics that you can see in the macro photos.

I have also added a .pdf file of the manual to this post. Just right click and select save as or save link as..

The Yaesu MD-200A8x is a stylish, high-quality desk microphone designed for the latest generation of Yaesu HF transceivers. The MD-200A8X employs a studio-quality Polyethylene Teraphthalate Film Dynamic Element optimized for high fidelity SSB operation, allowing faithful reproduction of the operator's voice during operation with negligible distortion.

Yaesu's exclusive VSPC (Variable Side Pressure Control) allows the operator to adjust the frequency response of the microphone, from a totally flat response to a high-articulation response with moderate peaking about 2000 Hz. The VSPC technique provides this response control without the distortion and reduced signal-to-noise ratio that can accompany active "equalizer" circuits.

The MD-200A8X also includes provision for the incorporation of a user-supplied Dynamic, Magnetic or Crystal microphone element, allowing A-B selection of the supplied dynamic element and the custom element. A slide switch on the base of the mic allows easy switching. This mic also has up-down scanning and TX led that are supported by most Yaesu radios.
